A Place For All of You

The Journey of Motherhood Is One of Life's Most Profound Transitions.

And You Were Never Meant to Do It Alone.

Motherhood transforms everything: your body, your relationships, your career, and your sense of who you are. Whether you are experiencing intense postpartum anxiety, healing from a painful birth or loss experience, or navigating the overwhelming shifts of matrescence, generalized advice and quick-fix approaches often fall short.

At Women’s Work Therapy, my clinical knowledge is grounded in over two decades of experience providing hundreds of individuals with dedicated, experienced maternal support. My therapeutic approach combines somatic trauma modalities like Lifespan Integration (LI) with depth psychology to help you process painful experiences, regulate your nervous system, and reclaim your balance.

You Don’t Have to Lose Yourself in the Transition to Motherhood

The path through pregnancy, the postpartum period, and early parenting rarely looks like we thought it would.

For many birthing parents and caregivers, this profound life shift brings unexpected emotional complexity:

  • Constant Worry & Hypervigilance: Feeling caught in a loop of intrusive thoughts, over-researched decisions, or an inability to turn off the internal alarm system.

  • Processing a Difficult Birth or Fertility Challenges, or Loss: Struggling with lingering grief, shock, or confusion about how your perinatal period unfolded.

  • Identity Shift & Matrescence: Feeling disconnected from your body, your career identity, or the person you were before parenthood.

  • Strain on Your Relationship: Navigating new communication barriers, invisible workload tension, or intimacy shifts with your partner.

Whether you are deep in the early postpartum period or navigating a complex reproductive transition, these feelings are not a personal failure—they are an invitation for deeper, specialized support.

A Depth Psychology Approach to Healing During the Perinatal Period

Traditional talk therapy often stays in the cognitive-behavioral realm, attempting to “fix” problems without truly getting to the root of the issue. My clinical practice combines over 24 years of perinatal in perinatal support with a specialized, psychodynamic approach:

  • Lifespan Integration (LI): A gentle, somatic therapy that uses a chronological timeline of memories to rewire neural pathways, helping your nervous system realize that past birth trauma or acute stress is truly over.

  • Depth Psychology: Rooted in my training at Pacifica Graduate Institute, I companion my clients as we explore the underlying emotional, symbolic, and identity shifts happening beneath the surface of daily life.

  • Perinatal & Maternal Health Mastery (PMH-C): Certified through Postpartum Support International, my clinical care is tailored specifically to the physiological, hormonal, and psychological nuances of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).
